Here's how a(n) RNG/EPC Project Controls Manager for our Bakersfield office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Consistently collaborates with construction/project manager and project team. 
  • Proactively identifies, handles, and resolves potential problems, work issues, or schedule challenges.
  • Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors the project team, including direct and indirect reports.
  • Responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary project controls team (scheduling and planning, estimating, cost-control, subcontract, and document control).
  • Plans and sometimes runs the development and maintenance of resource loaded schedule, critical path analysis, resolution of scheduling issues, supervising schedule delays, impacts and variances to the baseline.
  • Analyzes the trending and presenting schedule, progress, and cost information to project personnel.
  • Creates the control budget using the estimate and maintains project budgets for the duration of the project.
  • Responsible for the timely issuing off all project reporting (progress, cost, schedule, etc.)
  • Ensures that the project control systems are fully implemented to meet project needs, progress reporting, and earned-value analysis requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
  • 8 years of progressive project controls experience in construction or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
  • An understanding of scheduling, progress monitoring, and completing project forecasting e.g., cost, materials, staff, equipment.
  • An understanding of contract language and ability to identify and mitigate risks and identify and leverage opportunities.
  • Previous experience managing Project Controls on projects.
  • Knowledge of all project management functions including scheduling and planning, cost control and forecasting, progressing, change management and document control.
  • Ability to adapt communication style across multiple departments and functions including clients, supervision, and craft workers.
  • Advanced organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to travel to project sites for extended periods of time.

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $130,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. PCL combines numerous pay and benefit strategies to provide a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package.
