We are seeking a Marketing and Proposals Student for our Calgary District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for 4 months starting in January 2025. 

 

Proposals are a vital part of our business and one of the ways we secure new work. As a Marketing and Proposals Student, you will gain hands-on experience in helping craft compelling proposal submissions that communicate solutions and strategies to potential clients. This role involves research, critical thinking and creativity, offering a unique opportunity to develop skills in persuasive writing, graphic design and project management. It involves independent work and working as part of a larger pursuit team. If you are detail-oriented, enjoy writing and design and have a passion for making ideas come to life, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the dynamic field of proposals.

 

As a Marketing and Proposals Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the planning and production of proposals, including reviewing client requirements, creating timelines, determining responsibilities, and conducting research.

  • Sourcing and updating proposal content from internal and external resources and assisting with design and document development.

  • Writing and editing copy, including project profiles and resumes.

  • Developing graphics to help create visually compelling submissions.

  • Supporting team members with the coordination of client interviews and presentation resources.

  • Working within our marketing database.

  • Providing support to the Marketing and Communications team, with various tasks and projects, such as photography, writing, editing and design work.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or diploma in information design, graphic design, journalism, technical writing, public relations, or corporate communications.

  • Strong writer with excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (including Adobe InDesign).

  • Interest in design and visually communicating ideas.

  • Proven skills in project management and time management.

  • Organized with strong attention to detail.

  • High level of integrity, positive attitude, and a highly collaborative team player.

  • Adaptable and flexible.
