Here's how a Senior Estimator for our Calgary office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Analyzes contract documents and specifications for various project types to determine requirements.
- Establishes critical path schedules with milestone dates for large projects.
- Performs quantity take-offs for labor, equipment and materials.
- Leads pricing for general expenses and project-specific requirements.
- Develops as-bid estimates and trade buy-out strategies with the operations team.
- Prepares and delivers client presentations.
- Documents and organizes estimate information for project team transfer.
- Conducts risk and opportunity analysis for review.
- Coordinates with external consultants on budget requirements and tender development.
- Monitors client project-specific success criteria and provide solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade experience.
- Gold Seal certification in estimating.
- 12 years of progressive construction cost estimating experience, including on-site experience.
- Led pursuits valued up to $250 million in various delivery models.
- Experience with self-perform estimates and productivity understanding.
- Knowledge of construction methods, planning, scheduling and sequencing.
- Extensive bid preparation knowledge, including quantity take-off, procurement, pricing and bid closing.
- Expertise in contract terms and risk identification.
- Understanding of different bid processes and contract delivery methods.
- Strong leadership, organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with industry stakeholders.
