Here's how a(n) Assistant Equipment Manager for our Solar USA office contributes to our team:

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Creates and influences a safety culture as a mentor and model. May participate in the district safety committee and influences corporate safety policy and procedure.
  • Manages safety responsibility in accordance with district expectations.
  • Establishes operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems; identifies system improvements.
  • Reviews repair estimates.
  • Schedules equipment periodic service and recertification. Provides Resources with completed maintenance work orders. Ensures that equipment has annual inspections performed.
  • Reviews orders, production schedules, blueprints, or shipping or receiving notices to determine work sequences and material shipping dates, types, volumes, or destinations and manages repairs internally (IND) and tracking.
  • Trains and directs employees on proper methods to ship and receive using the appropriate equipment, considering care, and preservation during transit.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow.
  • Responsible for material orders and back orders.
  • Liaises with project managers and planning team to schedule and execute all work related to each project.
  • Issues purchase orders.
  • Determines purchase/rent decisions for external material, equipment, and tools.
  • Reviews and approves Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs), Authorization for Disposals (AFDs), and tool disposal.
  • Responsible for communicating with Procurement staff, HSE, project teams, other district departments, vendors, and trade contractors.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree/diploma in supply chain management, inventory, or related program preferred.
  • 10 years of supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or construction experience.
  • Management experience required.
  • Strong leadership experiences and skills; effectively manages a diverse team.
  • Organized team leader who can effectively plan and allocate resources to address shifting priorities.
  • Ability to implement and ensure compliance with company policy and procedures. Drives and communicates changes to all stakeholders.
  • Identifies risk associated with operations and analyzes/mitigates implementing controls.
  • Proven ability to manage and set quality expectations in accordance with stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials commonly used by districts.
  • Leads storage requirements of inventory. Plans based on district needs.
  • Strong knowledge of financial/management accounting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with interpersonal conflict.
  • Strong problem solver who implements corrective actions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Proficient using Microsoft office and an asset management system.
