Here's how a Corporate Quality Manager for our US Head Office office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
• Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the corporate quality program.
• Performs assessments to measure the implementation and effectiveness of quality management practices and maintain records thereof.
• Conducts trend analysis of assessment results and provides feedback to executive management to drive continuous improvement.
• Reviews and tracks PCL quality metrics to measure overall success and support PCL’s strategic plans.
• Review, understand, and communicate contract details and specification requirements.
• Reviews RFQs and RFPs for quality requirements and develops appropriate responses.
• Works with project teams to identify areas of risk and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
• Ensures development and implementation of quality management training.
• Stays well-informed of current industry practices, innovation, and technologies.
• Participates in and influences industry associations where appropriate.
• Travels to district and project locations as needed in Canada, the U.S., or Australia; up to 50% of the time may be travel.
• Serves as a subject matter expert to guide internal technology development efforts.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications
• Postsecondary education in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline.
• 10 years of experience in quality management and/or the construction industry, including supervisory and leadership experience preferred.
• Expert knowledge of the construction industry; understands specifications, drawings, methods, and procedures.
• Considered an expert and coaches and mentors quality team member(s) on construction inspection skills on a broad range of scopes of work.
• Proven ability to influence, coach, and mentor senior management on quality management processes.
• Ability to identify quality risks associated with project documents.
• Demonstrated experience in the development and writing of procedures and manuals.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
• Demonstrates planning, organizational, and time management skills; prioritizes own work and delegates.
• Ability to identify and communicate issues, trends, and objectives to senior management.
• Advanced communication skills; ability to address critical and sensitive issues at the project and district level.
• Ability to influence quality culture within the districts, PCL, and industry.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
• Conflict resolution and difficult conversation skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
• Advanced understanding of quality metrics and data used to develop consistency across the districts and PCL.
• Strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Power BI.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience with ISO 9001.
• Ability to travel internationally
Supervisory/Direction:
• This position reports to the Integrated Construction Services National Quality Manager.
• Direct and indirect reports to this position may include a combination of quality students/interns and quality department personnel.
• This includes mentoring and coaching, career management and performance management responsibilities, performance-potential rating recommendations, and provides input on salary and bonus reviews for direct reports.
• Identifies needs and assists in recruiting new team members.

Your salary, which considers your unique qualifications and experience, is just one component of the robust total rewards you'll enjoy at PCL. The salary range for this position is between $135,000 and $160,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
