Here's how a Business Systems Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Assist with service requests, troubleshoot incidents. 
  • Develop and maintain strong, customer-focused relationships and subject matter groups. Ensure effective communication. 
  • Recommend process and system changes and address variances. 
  • Coordinates and facilitates subject matter expert workshops or meetings 
  • Identifies impacts of upcoming system changes and initiates necessary changes to accommodate. 
  • Identifies training needs, necessary data and training material and conducts training. 
  • Creates and maintains user-facing documentation. 
  • Contributes to pilot and implementation plans, participates in pilots and rollouts and reporting/follow-up activities. 
  • Develop, validate and maintain technical reports and dashboards. 

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in information management, information technology, business administration, computing science, or a related discipline.  
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a related field.  
  • Effective visual, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.  
  • Ability to think logically and analytically, to interpret and solve complex problems with attention to detail.   
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize own work within deadlines & constraints.  
  • Strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively with interested parties at all levels and areas of the organization. 
  • Ability to assess solution alternatives for business value and organizational fit.  
  • Possesses business acumen and an understanding of how to incorporate technology solutions that positively contribute to business operations.  
  • Ability to independently conduct & facilitate effective meetings and give presentations in support of various projects and deliverables.  
  • Knowledge and practical experience with software implementations, software development lifecycle methodologies, and business process reengineering.  
  • Certification from Business Analyst Body of Knowledge (BABOK) or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), or equivalent preferred.  
  • Experience creating and delivering training in individual or group settings.  
  • Experience creating end-user documentation.  
  • Knowledge of organizational change management principles.
