Here's how a Business Systems Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Elicit and validate business requirements with user representatives and stakeholders (using interviews, software analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, etc.).
- Validate requirements with user representatives and stakeholders.
- Liaise with business technology and support teams to ensure system meets business requirements.
- Manage district stakeholders’ meetings.
- Create, update or assist with business process documentation, and incorporate into Training Materials.
- Assist with the identification of opportunities for improved utilization of existing business applications and processes.
- Develop and deliver communications as necessary for projects, enhancements, and support efforts.
- Identify the need for training, help plan training activities, create and update training materials, and deliver training. Evaluate training results and recommend continuous improvement actions.
- Help resolve business process-related system issues.
- Create user acceptance tests, execute user acceptance scenarios (prior to involving users) and assist with coordination of user acceptance testing.
Qualifications
- Relevant prior co-op experience or 1+ years of experience.
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, computing science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to facilitate training and present to large or small groups.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible, organized, and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project management and organizational change management practices is an asset.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Visio.
- Ability to perform and thrive in a team environment.
