Here's how a Digital Communications Coordinator for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Act as a champion for PCL’s SharePoint-based intranet, ensuring it remains effective and relevant to the workforce.
- Support daily intranet publishing.
- Support strategic site enhancement projects to support the evolving needs of internal clients.
- Uphold and support intranet governance, ensuring compliance with brand, content, and publishing standards.
- Deliver digital content in a way that is visually appealing, intuitive to navigate, and engaging for end users.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure content remains accurate and relevant.
- Maintain back-end site operations, including document libraries, lists, and metadata.
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate technical enhancements and ensure quality outcomes.
- Provide writing and editing support to ensure consistent brand voice.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. communications, information design).
- A minimum of two years in a communications role.
- At least two years of hands-on experience managing content within Microsoft SharePoint.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
- A strong understanding of information architecture, metadata, taxonomy, and governance principles for enterprise content management solutions.
- A strong understanding of effective user interface and user experience (UI/UX) principles.
- Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills.
