We are seeking a Document Controls Student for our Canadian Industrial Division in Edmonton, AB, that is available for 4 months starting in September, 2026. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Document Control Lead.
As a Document Controls Student, you will contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
• Reviewing documents and drawings data, data entry and record accuracy and completion
• Ensuring documents are filed electronically, maintaining records filings, where applicable
• Updating project and contract documents, as required
• Maintaining project master document register and document distribution matrix
• Auditing document log and project file, identifying document discrepancies, and expediting delivery of missing documents
• Reporting on status of document management process to project manager and drawing/document control supervisor
• Liaising with project team and external parties for verification and resolution of relevant project and contract documentation issues
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role:
- Pursuing a degree or diploma in Records Management, Information Management, Library and Information Technology, or Office/Business Administration
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new systems as projects or clients change
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications and Bluebeam (an asset)
- Comfort navigating large folder structures
- Organized
