We are seeking a Human Resources Programs Student for our North American Headquarters district in Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for 4 or 8 months starting in January 2027.
The Human Resources Programs Student role supports enterprise HR programs and initiatives designed to enhance culture, team effectiveness and the employee experience. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience supporting programs and services that help employees, leaders and teams thrive and contribute to organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Leads assigned student program initiatives and supports student engagement activities, including the Student Ambassador Program, Coffee Chats and Student Blog.
- Supports the delivery and ongoing administration of HR programs and initiatives through assigned project and program activities.
- Assists with the preparation, maintenance and quality checking of program resources, documentation, communications and supporting materials.
- Supports HR programs and initiatives through research, information gathering, documentation updates and the preparation of supporting materials.
- Contributes to HR programs and project management activities through meeting coordination, material preparation and other assigned project support activities.
What you will bring to the role:
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, Management or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Ability to follow established processes, complete assigned work accurately and seek guidance when needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to grammar, clarity and detail.
- Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work within established timelines.
