Here's how a Networking Specialist for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Strong experience with FortiManager, including complex zero-touch provisioning templates.
  • Skilled in deploying and managing FortiGate SD-WAN, including policies and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with BGP redistribution, route maps, and prioritization.
  • Advanced network troubleshooting and experience with ticketing systems.
  • Solid understanding of NGFW features like SSL inspection, DNS filtering, and application profiles.
  • Proficient in writing and maintaining network documentation.
  • Experienced in building manual IPsec VPNs with third-party connections.
  • Knowledgeable in small-scale project management practices.
  • Administer and optimize Aruba Central, including policy and template management, and the deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle support of wireless access points and switches.
  • Able to support secure and scalable network deployments.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in network technology or a related field; networking certifications preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Logical and analytical thinking with effective idea expression.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize and delegate.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve complex problems.
  • Solid understanding of business operations and their impact on technology.
  • Advanced expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting networking solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of networking technologies including switching, routing, wireless, firewall, VOIP, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to emerging technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to build business cases and deliver presentations.
