We are seeking a Planning, Scheduling and Lean Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ) in Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for 8 months starting in January 2027. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Director Schedule Risk Management .

 

As a Planning, Scheduling and Lean Student, and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

  • Collects and organizes field production records to develop PCL’s historic data.
  • Assists with planning and coordination of PCL Planning, Scheduling and Lean Conference.
  • Supports with the rollout of a new production tracking application.
  • Aids in the software review for Planning, Scheduling, and Lean functions.
  • Supports with documentation of PCL District reviews.
  • Assists with updating Planning, Scheduling and Lean best practices & documentation.
  • Assists with Planning, Scheduling and Lean initiatives and tools.
  • Other related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field construction experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in technology, including various computer software programs such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent communication and visualization skills.
  • Methodical problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 (Web and Professional) and Acumen Fuse and Risk is advantageous.
  • Experience with additional technologies like Power BI is an asset.
