As a Recruitment Specialist for PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta (Corporate), you'll play a key role in building our teams across Western Canada. Based in our Edmonton office, the Recruitment Specialist will be instrumental in attracting top talent and shaping our workforce for the future. In this role, you will partner with leaders across multiple districts to design and execute innovative recruitment strategies that position PCL Construction as an employer of choice in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for a range of professional and leadership roles, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and positioning PCL as an employer of choice.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to shape hiring strategies for business‑critical roles, providing consultative, market‑informed recruitment guidance.
  • Develop and execute proactive recruitment marketing and sourcing strategies to build strong, diverse talent pipelines aligned with future workforce needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with district HR teams and operational leaders, offering insights on market trends, workforce risks, and recruitment best practices.
  • Leverage recruitment data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and data‑informed hiring decisions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive hiring practices and building diverse talent pipelines.
  • Support international recruitment initiatives and cross‑border talent acquisition efforts.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive recruitment experience in a high‑volume corporate environment; agency experience is an asset.
  • Ability to manage 20+ active requisitions across multiple geographic regions while maintaining excellent customer service to candidates and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen; recruitment experience within construction or a similar industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships and act as a strategic, solution‑oriented advisor.
  • Strong ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels through data‑driven insight, market knowledge, and professional judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in record‑keeping.
  • Willingness to travel to PCL offices and project sites as required.
