This is an opportunity to join PCL’s enterprise Talent Acquisition (TA) team and significantly contribute to evolving our TA strategies, programs, employer branding / recruitment marketing, processes, technologies and more!
As a passionate, client-focused professional with demonstrated subject matter expertise in Talent Acquisition, you will collaborate with internal and external partners seeking to optimize how PCL attracts, sources, assesses, brings in and ultimately mobilizes the right talent who fit and add to our culture, helping us profitably grow and build a better future, together. This includes developing and executing the perfect recruitment marketing campaign, driving the most efficient and effective process, finding that great innovative new tool and implementing it, or optimizing the best candidate experience, just to name a few possibilities.
Here's how a Talent Program Specialist for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Leverages TA subject matter expertise and collaborates with other TA and HR subject matter experts to design, develop, and supports implementation of best practices, processes, programs, technology, marketing campaigns, sourcing strategies, DEI outreach, and other initiatives.
- Stays informed of TA innovations, advancements, and labor market trends, regularly sharing with stakeholders, and applying to one’s work.
- Researches and recommends solutions based on stakeholder feedback, market trends, new innovations, best practices, and HR legislation.
- Develops training, documentation, and communications to support team initiatives.
- Uses strong analytical skills to evaluate quantitative and qualitative data, develops insights and tells a compelling story, influencing stakeholders to action.
- Identifies and evaluates appropriate external vendors / consultants and manages the partnerships and deliverables.
- Collaborates across HR and the business to ensure alignment with priorities and initiatives
Qualifications
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline or equivalent experience; working towards relevant designation preferred.
- 5+ years of related TA experience – must have experience working as a Recruiter/TA Partner in a corporate environment, search firm experience is highly preferred.
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with, partner with and effectively influence all stakeholders throughout the end-to-end talent acquisition process.
- Experience developing / supporting enterprise-wide recruitment programs, campaigns, and strategies.
- Significant experience key social recruiting platforms and TA technologies (ex. LinkedIn, Indeed, CRMs, ATSs, mobile, virtual, etc.)
- Recognizes the importance of good data, uses data to drive decision-making, and effectively story tells. Ideally, has excellent analytical skills and is knowledgeable of best-in-class TA metrics.
- Researches to identify best practices and gaps, makes recommendations and develops solutions accordingly.
- General knowledge of applicable federal, state, provincial and local regulations.
- Flexible and adaptable team player who thrives in a collaborative, often-changing environment.
- Results oriented and with proven project management experience.
- Excellent written & verbal communication, multi-tasking, organizational, follow-up and negotiating skills, with a strong attention to detail.
