This exciting new opportunity is in the Technology Solutions branch of Advanced Technology Services.  As an integral player with the Technology Solutions team, your role will include supporting the infrastructure, automating and enhancing existing processes, providing quality solutions, and ensuring a healthy infrastructure through monitoring and reporting.. 

 

Here's how a Technology Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains the architecture of the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Automate, and other related services.
  • Leads the implementation of new Microsoft 365 features and services.
  • Administers the existing Microsoft 365 and hybrid environment, including user and license management, security configurations, and compliance.
  • Secures the Microsoft 365 environment to meet all security and compliance requirements, adhering to the latest security standards and best practices.
  • Identifies and leverage cloud technologies, platforms and associated methods to solve business and technical challenges.
  • Provides technical leadership for projects and complete associated activities to meet team, department, and corporate objectives.
  • Supports, troubleshoots, monitors, recommends improvements to, and optimize solutions through teamwork, information gathering, and troubleshooting across multiple integrated solutions. 
  • Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders. 
  • Collaborates with the team to research and recommend new trending technologies, enhancements, and best practices.
     

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in computer technology or a related discipline and 3-5 years of progressive experience in a related field.
  • Enterprise level working experience with:
    • Microsoft 365 architecture and administration
    • Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies including IaaS, SaaS, PaaS
    • Microsoft Entra ID
    • Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server Management
    • Microsoft Defender including Defender for Office, Cloud, Endpoint, and other related Defender services
    • Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management
    • PowerShell scripting and Graph API 
  • Understand modern cybersecurity framework and security best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and consistently prioritize work effectively.
  • Strong logical and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to express ideas and concepts constructively.
  • Passion for challenges and problem solving, along with an aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies and solutions.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly.
  • Skilled in presenting technical material to various audiences.
  • Highly collaborative team player that is proactive in taking initiative and dedicated to contributing to success.
  • Solid ability to learn quickly, absorb new ideas and concepts, and adapt to change in business landscape and working environments.
