Here's how a(n) Field Engineer Intern- Pasadena City College contributes to our team:

Qualifications

 
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student attending Pasadena City College pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, etc.)

  • Desire to pursue a career as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Estimator

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

  • 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License

  • Willing to work and live in the Southern California area

  • Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations

  • Ability to navigate through a construction site daily, including climbing ladders and stairs

  • Ability to work around and near heavy equipment, cranes, and other construction equipment

  • Employment contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party

Responsibilities

 
  • Assist Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents

  • Conduct safety audits and quality audits

  • Read and understand drawings and specifications

  • Log submittals, process RFIs, and prepare reports

  • Assist with surveying and project layout

  • Maintain and update field drawings, field equipment, and records

  • Assist with coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field staff

  • Coordinate material deliveries and documentation

  • Attend relevant project meetings

  • Prepare memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other forms/documents

  • Assist with project documentation requirements

  • Assist with estimating and soliciting subcontractors and/or suppliers for information and pricing

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation begins at $16.50 per hour, with the final rate determined based on experience and qualifications.
