Here's how a Human Resources Business Partner for PCL Construction Services, Inc. within California Buildings contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Provides guidance, coaching, and training on all aspects of career management and professional development.
- Guides and coaches supervisors through progressive discipline process for entry to mid-level positions, including the development and delivery of performance improvement plans and/or progressive disciplinary strategies on employee relations issues up to and including termination.
- Has demonstrated experience in executing employment investigations.
- Leads investigations, including communication/implementation of outcomes/decisions. Assists manager on complex investigations.
- Responsible for the recruitment and onboarding programs needed. Leads recruitment process for senior-level positions. Utilizes appropriate recruitment sourcing strategies and builds strategic industry contacts to build a candidate pipeline.
- Oversees student program strategy, enhances, and influences the program to align with district strategies. Maintains strategic relationships with academic institutions.
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
- Working towards an HR designation preferred.
- 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience preferred.
- Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with people and act with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.
- Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
- Able to mentor and coach entry-level human resources professionals.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.
- Strong networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
- Demonstrated critical-thinking skills.
The estimated salary range for this role is $114,700.00 - $172,100.00, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
