Are you a marketing guru looking for your next big opportunity?  PCL California Buildings is seeking a talented Marketing Specialist to make a real impact in the construction industry.  As part of our team, you'll help shape the marketing strategy for our largest and fastest-growing region.  Working alongside a dynamic group of creatives, builders, and executives, you'll craft compelling marketing collateral that speaks to our clients, colleagues, and community.  From developing audience-specific content to creating innovative proposals, you'll play a critical role in advancing our business and reinforcing our brand.  If you're a collaborative team player with experience in driving marketing objectives, we want you on our side.  

 

Here's how a Marketing Specialist for our California Buildings district office will make an impact on our team:

What you'll do to make an impact:

  • Align marketing activities, products, and strategic initiatives with company and district's business objectives, resulting in more effective and targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Plan, manage, and execute small to mid-size projects and proposals, ensuring they are client-specific, compliant, and error-free, resulting in higher win rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop content and presentations that engage, inform, and excite audiences about how the company's culture of ownership can benefit them, resulting in increased customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Create clear and compelling written copy for appropriate mediums, driving action and increasing conversion rates.
  • Provide advanced proofreading support with strong attention to detail, resulting in error-free marketing materials that enhance the company's professional image.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitor differentiators, identify trends and opportunities, and allow for strategic positioning and differentiation in the crowded construction market.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to achieve marketing objectives in line with branding principles, resulting in consistent and impactful messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Ensure marketing, proposal, and website content is current, accurate, and organized properly, providing accessible information for customers and stakeholders.
  • Support proposal teams in content creation as needed, resulting in high-quality proposals that effectively communicate the company's unique value proposition and win more business.
  • Plan and execute district-wide events, resulting in successful and engaging events that promote brand awareness and community engagement.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • You want to make a big impact. You can take direction, follow through and make the corrections necessary to stay on track. You ask questions, prioritize, decide, then act.
  • You have worked as an in-house marketer, managing projects that advance specific marketing strategies and goals with the support of cross-departmental teams of five or more.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are proficient at translating analytical information into creative, audience-specific copy and messaging that engages and persuades the target audience.
  • You are proficient in using marketing and presentation software, including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and OneNote)
  • You have experience working with graphic designers and project stakeholders to build creative, compelling presentations and marketing collateral.
  • You are strategic with your time and resources. You loathe inefficiency and enjoy building workflows and strategies that foster collaboration and improve team performance.
  • You thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing or communications is not required but is preferred.
  • CPSM or PMP certification is not required but preferred.

PCL combines numerous pay and benefit strategies to provide a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package. Any salary range displayed by a job board is an estimate. Your salary, which considers your unique qualifications and experience, is just one component of the robust total rewards you'll enjoy at PCL. The salary range for this position is between $70,000 to $90,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
