Here's how a Construction Survey Manager for our Hawaii office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

•    Manage district construction surveying standards and practices.
•    Review and monitor adherence to construction layouts and standards.
•    Oversee and manage onsite reality capture tools (laser scanning, aerial survey drones).
•    Ensure construction surveying and layout conform to current standards and leverage latest technology.
•    Lead and mentor survey teams, including contract survey professionals and field crew.
•    Prepare and review survey plans, contracts, and right-of-way documents.
•    Conduct deed and plan research, boundary surveys, and legal/topographical surveys.
•    Perform fieldwork, survey computations, and data collection using GPS, Total Station, and CAD systems.
•    Schedule and monitor survey/layout activities for multiple projects and contract personnel.
•    Ensure safety compliance and mentor others on safety rules and practices.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, surveying, or related field.
•    5–10 years of progressive construction experience with a focus on surveying and layout.
•    Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred (state-specific).
•    Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture and knowledge of HSE principles.
•    In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards, building codes, and quality management practices.
•    Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and schedules.
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and decision makers.
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, surveying/design software (GIS, CAD, BIM), and data collection tools.
•    Aptitude for adopting new technology and mentoring others in its use.
•    Experience with contract management, financial oversight, and project reporting.
•    Advanced verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
•    Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and interpret construction plans/specifications.

The salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $170,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. We anticipate this requisition will be open for a minimum of five days, though it may be open for a longer period of time. We encourage your prompt application.
