Integrated Construction Technology Intern
Responsibilities
- Builds virtual models from plans, specifications, and elevations with direct supervision.
- Collaborates with the project team on the development of construction site logistics models.
- Collaborates on the trade partner model coordination process and reports to the project management team, as appropriate.
- Assists with model updates.
- Supports the project team in the creation and processing of RFIs.
- Promotes the use of virtual construction tools and processes to project staff.
- Shares new technologies with project teams and seeks to drive adoption of PCL technologies through operational processes.
- Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
- Some co-op or relevant experience in a construction environment preferred.
- Drafting and modeling experience.
- Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications is an asset.
- Working knowledge and training in 3D modeling software and the ability to create content in VDC software is an asset.
- Exposure to 4D scheduling software and planning tools is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret markups to construction drawings.
- Ability to participate in trade coordination meetings and understand trade partner deliverables and scope.

- Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
