Here's how an Accounting Administrative Assistant for our US PICCo office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Supporting day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks for manager, department, or team.  
  • Ensuring appropriate document control/logs and compliance through filing, composing, and editing documents and reports for district office. 
  • Assisting with planning meetings and events, including arranging for catering, booking locations, and distributing information. 
  • Assist with month end and year end close and reporting process/submissions.
  • Accounts Payable entry in accordance with legal requirements, contract terms and corporate guidelines.
  • Assist with the assembling of information for internal financial/payroll reporting.
  • Perform diverse and advanced assistant duties as needed (answering of phones, word processing, data processing, editing, proof-reading, filing, etc.)
  • Review all approved expense reports for compliance and processing as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma. 
  • An associates or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in office administration program is considered an asset
  • Two plus years’ experience in an accounting or related field is a plus.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work in a team.
  • JD Edwards software experience would be an asset.
  • Basic to advanced skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. 
  • Excellent organization skills and follow-through.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to change. 
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information. 
  • Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations.
