Here's how a(n) Commissioning Coordinator for our Solar USA office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Reviews prime contract and subcontract details for specifications and requirements. project team with the coordination of all Commissioning trades and reviews site progress for compliance with drawings, specifications, quality, schedule, and constructability.
- Coordinates commissioning activities aligned with project scope as per the contract terms and conditions.
- Reviews the project specifications and identifies commissioning requirements. Assists project team with coordination of Commissioning trades for compliance to drawings, specifications, quality, and schedule.
- Write, submits RFIs and tracks RFI responses for timeliness.
- Prepares and tracks Commissioning submittal logs for shop drawings and coordination documents and reports progress to the project team.
- Assists the project team with all facets of project closeout, operation and maintenance manuals, spare part inventory, and deficiencies.
- Coordinates examination, witnesses, monitors, and documents as per project commissioning and Inspection testing plans (ITPs).
Qualifications
- Tradesperson or postsecondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in commissioning and/or the construction industry preferred.
- General knowledge of construction industry; understands specifications, methods, and procedures.
- Introductory knowledge of codes related to the construction industry.
- Basic construction inspection skills.
- Basic understanding of change process in relation to cost/pricing and scheduling impact, with the ability to track Commissioning change orders.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling and sequencing with the ability to track mechanical and electrical progress.
