Here's how a District HRPD Coordinator for Construction PCL Inc. within Montreal contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Leads the process for the district’s student program; plans and organizes college recruiting activities, including orientations, events, networking with colleges and universities, managing databases, and coordinating interviews. Maintains strategic relationships with academic institutions.
- Responsible for entry-to mid-level recruiting and onboarding practices.Administers HRPD programs and policies. Provides guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HRPD programs, policy, practices, compliance, and all aspects of career management.
- Participates in district HRPD strategic planning process. Assists with development and execution of district-level projects/initiatives as assigned.
- Maintains budget for assigned programs/initiatives.
- Assists district HRPD manager with staff planning.
- Assists with research and general administrative support pertaining to total rewards.
- Assists with administration and supports the succession planning process.
- Maintains and prepares scheduled and ad hoc reporting as needed. Provides data analysis and recommendations.
- Delivers information sessions on routine HR/company information. Assists with facilitation sessions.
- Provides implementation support to district HRPD manager on corporate and regional initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
- Working towards an HR designation preferred.
- 3 years of progressive human resources or related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of HRPD-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.
- Basic business acumen and understanding of industry practices and new developments.
- Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- Good networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
- Results-oriented and able to meet and drive deadlines.
