Here's how a Insurance Coordinator for Construction PCL Inc. within Montreal contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Administer our risk insurance program called Subcontract Default Insurance (SDI);
- Review, evaluate, prepare reports on financial assessment, and approve qualification submissions from subcontractors;
- Analyze insurance requirements and develope cost-optimization strategies while ensuring appropriate coverage in the bidding process;
- Assist in developing project-specific risk mitigation plans as applicable;
- Assist in subcontractor outreach and meet with them as needed;
- Prepare reports on prequalification status, subcontractor utilization, and others as required;
- Administer insurance claims and coordinate with the project teams in compiling and submitting insurance claims.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an office environment;
- College degree in accounting, an asset;
- Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines;
- Strong customer service skills, comfortable and effective with telephone and email outreach with subcontractors;
- Team player with effective interpersonal skills;
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and professional judgment;
- Exposure to financial statements is considered an asset.
