We are excited to welcome a Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist who will play a key role in building our teams across Eastern Canada. Based in our Montréal, Ottawa, or Halifax office, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be instrumental in attracting top talent and shaping our workforce for the future. In this role, you will partner with leaders across multiple districts to design and execute innovative recruitment strategies that position PCL Construction as an employer of choice in the construction industry.

 

Here’s how a Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist for our Eastern Canada markets contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for a range of professional and leadership roles, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and positioning PCL as an employer of choice.
  • Develop and implement proactive recruitment marketing strategies to build a strong and diverse talent pipeline aligned with future workforce needs.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to provide strategic and consultative recruitment support while enhancing PCL’s employer brand.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with district HR teams and operational leaders, offering insights on market trends and recruitment best practices.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and recruitment innovations to provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Support international recruitment initiatives and cross-border talent acquisition efforts.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Over 5 years of progressive recruitment experience in a high-volume corporate or agency environment.
  • Ability to manage 20+ active requisitions across multiple geographic regions.
  • Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) is required.
  • Strong business acumen; experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships and act as a strategic, solution-oriented advisor.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Willingness to travel to PCL offices and project sites as needed.
  • Experience recruiting construction professionals or technical roles is an asset.
