We are seeking an Accounting Student for our Melloy Industrial Services Inc. district, in our Nisku, AB office that is available for 8 months starting in January 2025. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

Full Cycle Accounts Payable

Entering invoices into the PCL accounting system

Bank reconciliations
-
Inter-company invoicing
-
Courier and phone costing
-
Running and updating various reports
-
Reconciling supplier statements
-
Visa card reconciliations
-
Preparing accounts receivable report
-
Weekly cheque printing
-
Client progress billings
-
Subcontract administration
-
Creation and management of Ad Hoc Reports

Miscellaneous support to Accounting team
Qualifications
-
Currently enrolled in an Accounting diploma/degree program.

Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, and spreadsheet applications.

Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:

This role may require nightshifts from time to time; the successful applicant must be willing to work at night.

Public transportation is not available for this position so the successful applicant must have their own vehicle.
