We are seeking Design Students for our Solar district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 month or 8 months starting September 3rd, 2024.
As a Solar Design Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities

Reviews RFP documentation for key design requirements.

Designs, reviews and/or validates solar facility layouts relative to RFP documents using/creating plans, specifications, and other information.

Calculates energy losses for designs.

Prepares/draws detailed site layouts using electrical single line diagrams using AutoCAD.

Supports estimating with quantity takeoffs and preconstruction efforts (e.g. design coordination, constructability review, project planning).

Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues

Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders
Qualifications

Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a design function

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Superior attention to detail

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Application of various computer software programs will be required, including AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel)
