We are seeking a Solar Design Student, for our Solar District that is available for 4-16 months starting May 2026.
As a Solar Design Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
- Reviews RFP documentation for key design requirements
- Designs, reviews and/or validates solar facility layouts relative to RFP documents using/creating plans, specifications, and other information
- Calculates energy losses for designs
- Prepares/draws detailed site layouts using electrical single line diagrams using AutoCAD
- Supports estimating with quantity takeoffs and preconstruction efforts (e.g. design coordination, constructability review, project planning)
- Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
- Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a design function
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Application of various computer software programs will be required, including AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel)
The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.34, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
