Responsibilities
- Reviews, retrieves, and verifies vendor invoices received through a shared accounts payable inbox and vendor portal.
- Accurately enters approved invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner
- Updates purchase orders with accurate cost codes.
- Identifies and prioritizes approved, overdue invoices to maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Accurately distributes invoices to appropriate project efficiently.
- Independently investigates and resolves invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Prepares new vendor verification documentation.
- Responds to inquiries from vendors and internal staff via email, phone, in-person or MS Teams.
- Verifies vendor accounts reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Assists with year-end reporting
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in an accounting or administrative program considered an asset.
- 1 year of experience in an accounts payable role or equivalent technical experience.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations.
- Basic skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote.

The estimated salary range for this role is $56,270-$72,820, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
