We are seeking Engineering Students for our Ottawa District, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that are available for 4 months from May 2026 to August 2026.
Responsibilities
• Conducts deficiency walks.
• Coordinates and supervises sub-trade work.
• Tracks site progress and deficiencies.
• Verifies site conditions, coordinates with drawings and quality assurance reviews.
• Coordinates, marks up and updates drawings.
• Coordinates work specific scope, trades an tracking progress photos.
• Conducts trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
• Inputs and updates deficiency logs.
• Performs quantity take-offs and participation in project meetings.
• Produces as-built drawings and maintains record keeping.
Qualifications
• Working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering related field.
• Eligible for Government security clearance (Basic Reliability).
• A passion for working in a construction environment.
• Experience with the application of various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
• Self-motivation with a hands-on approach.
• Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
