We are seeking Procurment/Supply Chain Students for our Saskatoon district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4, 8, 12, or 16 months starting in September 2026.
Here's how a Procurment/Supply Chain Student for PCL Construction Management Inc. within Saskatoon contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of supporting the team by procuring materials, assets, and services in alignment with company policies, using cost-effective purchasing strategies for each transaction
- Apply supply chain knowledge by utilizing relevant purchasing and supply agreements in day-to-day activities
- Proactively manage and expedite all aspects of the purchasing process, including coordinating with suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve issues such as discrepancies, overdue items, warranty claims, and returns
- Ensure all purchasing activities are conducted ethically, legally, and in accordance with company and district policies
- Prepare and analyze Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to support informed decision-making
- Interpret basic information requests and identify appropriate sources to respond effectively
- Support the team with additional duties as required
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a degree/diploma of related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to work with various computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of purchasing, supply chain, or business processes
- Independent and resourceful in accomplishing day-to-day tasks and assignments
