Here's how a District Human Resources Advisor for our BC Region office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Leads and advises on human resources and professional development programs, policy, practices, and compliance for district.
- Develops and implements recruitment plans with effective sourcing strategies to build a candidate pipeline.
- Participates in district human resources and professional development planning process and leads the development, execution and evaluation of district-level projects initiatives.
- Provides guidance, coaches, and trains on all aspects of career management.
- Advises supervisors on employee relations issues, compensation, recruitment, performance improvement activities, workforce planning and training programs.
- Assists with local market research and analysis for annual compensation review and owns the calibration of salary/bonus review process for district departments.
- Delivers district-level training programs and facilitation sessions.
- Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders within the district.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
- 5 years of progressive human resources experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of HR-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with people and act with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.
- Able to mentor and coach entry-level human resources professionals.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.
- Strong business acumen, with an understanding of industry practices and new developments.
- Strong organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multi-task and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- Demonstrated critical-thinking skills.

PCL combines numerous pay and benefit strategies to provide a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package. Any salary range displayed by a job board is an estimate. The salary range for this position may be $80,000 - $100,000. Your salary, which considers your unique qualifications and experience, is just one component of the robust total rewards you'll enjoy at PCL.
