Here's how a Senior Project Manager for our Hawaii office will contribute to our team:
Responsibilities
- Oversees and executes overall project closeout, including document archival, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
- Oversees precommissioning or commissioning and closeout.
- Contributes to district committees and initiatives.
- Stays current with industry practices; seeks new, innovative construction methods and initiatives.
- Understands labor relations and market implications.
- Ensures all owner, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
- Critically evaluates information from company operations and support departments and challenges the process as needed.
- Identifies opportunities and mitigates potential risks on complex construction project.
- Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Builds and supports a culture that values the solution provider and profitability philosophy.
Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline: construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of progressive construction experience with multiple contract delivery types as a leader and mentor preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and application of health, safety, and environment principles/procedures/legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, safety and quality management practices for large, complex, and more diverse projects.
- Understanding of and experience with collective agreements and jurisdiction assignment for multi-trade sites.
- Ability to monitor and forecast project resources and staffing for the project.
- Ability to identify staffing and hourly labor issues.
- Superior planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize team tasks for prompt execution.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing others and many construction project facets, including multiple scope coordination. Experience leading and assessing trade performance.
- Ability to monitor complex project budgets and schedules, and create and schedule a project.
Working Conditions:
- Work may be performed in a corporate office setting or in a jobsite office/field setting on an active construction site with frequent walking of project site.
- There may be exposure to inclement weather, various construction equipment, excessive noise, dust, dangerous substances, and excessive heights.
- Occasional travel may be required
- Work may be required outside of normal business hours and on weekends
- Primary functions of this role are performed in an outdoor setting on an active construction site
