Here's how a HR Craft Coordinator - Bilingual Spanish/English for PCL Construction, Inc. within Civil West contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Partner with field leadership and Area Operations Managers to ensure craft excellence, compliance, and successful project fulfillment.
  • Assist with craft recruiting, onboarding, and field communication.
  • Support unemployment claims, verification of employment, and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintain compliance of employee files in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with open enrollment coordination and craft employee education in the field.
  • Assist employees with health insurance and 401(k) form completion and conduct audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the planning and coordination of events for craft employees.
  • Build relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, and technical training institutions

Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • Working towards an HR designation preferred.
  • Some co-op/internship or relevant experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HRPD-related principles, practices, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixedorganization.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and
  • prioritize conflicting deadlines.
  • • Basic understanding of training and facilitation coordination.
  • • Basic networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
  • • Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • • Knowledge of change management methodologies an asset.
  • • Demonstrated critical-thinking skills.
  • • Ability to recognize employee relations issues that need coaching.
  • • Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite
