Here's how a(n) District HRPD Advisor for our Civil Infrastructure office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Leads development, execution, evaluation, and monitoring of district HRPD strategy and key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with district and company strategic plans and priorities.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to leaders and staff regarding all human resource management issues, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Leads change initiative, and provides coaching and support to supervisors and senior managers for annual cycles, which includes performance management, succession planning, and compensation reviews.
- Partners with Operations and department managers to develop short-and long-term staff (salaried and craft workers) plans, helping to ensure retention, development, and engagement of district talent.
- Takes a leadership role in maintaining internal/external equity at district level through effective compensation administration and responsible for overall compensation plan.
- Leads complex investigations (employment-related and otherwise), including risk assessment, communication/implementation of recommended outcomes/decisions. Involved in litigation and/or mediation for employee relations issues.
- Partners with the Training Core Team to identify district training needs and delivers training programs and complex facilitation sessions. Develops and implements comprehensive training assessments and plans to support district talent management strategies.
- Collaborates with Accounting on payroll items as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
- SHRM-CP, PHR or similar certifications are preferred.
- EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 8 years of progressive human resources experience with at least 1 of those years in a supervisory role.
- Seen as a trusted advisor with superior relationship management skills and the ability to establish effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers with the following key competencies:

- Advanced business acumen, with an understanding of industry practices and new developments.
- Ability to use information and data to interpret, analyze, and recommend strategic solutions.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and present ideas and content that contribute to the district strategy.
- Advanced application of relevant employment legislation – particularly US federal, California, and Florida state laws.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, experience with ADP is a plus.
