We are seeking Engineering Students, for our Toronto District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 month or 8 months starting January 6th, 2025.
As an Engineering Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
· Coordinating drawings
· Coordinating work specific scope / trades
· Conducting trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates
· Participating in project meetings
· Conducting deficiency walks
· Inputting / Updating deficiency logs
· Issuing warranties
· Taking / Coordinating progress photos
· Updating field drawings
· Producing as-built drawings
Field Coordination
· Performing quantity takeoffs
· Coordinating sub-trade work
· Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
· Supervising sub-trade work
· Setting-up / Maintaining record keeping
· Layout site lines and grades using total station
Scheduling:
· Updating project schedules
· Creating manual schedules
· Creating and updating schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software
· Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades
· Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
· Monitoring workforce productivity
Qualifications
· Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
· Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
