We are seeking Engineering Students, for our Toronto District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 month or 8 months starting May 2026.
As an Engineering Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities
- Coordinating drawings, work specific scope / trades, trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates, deficiency walks etc
- Participating in project meetings,
- Inputting / Updating deficiency logs and issuing warranties
- Taking / Coordinating progress photos, and updating field drawings
- Producing as-built drawings
- Performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating and supervising sub-trade work and
- Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
- Setting-up / Maintaining record keeping
- Layout site lines and grades using total station
- Creating manual schedules, updating schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software, maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
- Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades and updating project schedules
- Monitoring workforce productivity
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
- Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37- $31.34, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
