We are seeking a Human Resources Student for our Winnipeg District, within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for 12 months starting in January 2026.
Here's how a Human Resources Student (12-month Term) for our Winnipeg office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Supporting all aspects of the district student program including full cycle recruitment, onboarding/off boarding, compensation research, student events and career fair participation.
- Supporting the district learning and development processes.
- Assisting with tracking and reporting for internal training.
- Assisting with virtual and in class training set up.
- Supporting district HRPD initiatives related to employee engagement and diversity and inclusion.
- Supporting monthly metrics and reporting processes related to career management and vacation planning.
- Assisting with composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
- Supporting activities that require a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Additional project work based on the team’s needs.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources Major.
- Must be proactive in terms of anticipating needs and follow-up items for the team.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Must be proficient with various computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exhibits strict confidentiality with all information.
- Must be independent and resourceful to accomplish day-to-day tasks and assignments.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple aggressive deadlines.
